Current Situation (March Update)

My children and I are currently staying in a hotel while I actively search for stable housing. After focusing for a while on rentals within our school district, I’ve expanded the search area and am now actively submitting applications and planning home viewings in surrounding areas so we can secure housing as soon as possible.

Right now the biggest challenge is covering the immediate expenses of hotel stays, storage for our belongings, and basic bills while I work through the housing process.

Current immediate bills include:

• Hotel balance – about $1,300

• Storage units – about $400

• Car insurance – $280

Total immediate pressure: about $2,000

Every donation and share helps us stay afloat while I continue working toward securing a stable home for my kids.

We are currently in emergency hotel housing while we finalize a rental for my family and get into a stable home. We now have move-in funds arranged once a lease is secured. What we still need help with is the short gap between today and move-in — the last stretch of hotel nights and a few critical bills that have to be paid before we can transition out of crisis housing.

The first donations have already gone directly toward keeping us housed, and we are incredibly grateful. This fundraiser is now focused on making sure nothing derails the final step into stability.

Funds from this campaign will be used for:

• Emergency hotel nights

• Storage for our belongings

• Car insurance

• Gas, food, and basic move-related expenses

These are the unavoidable bridge costs that allow us to secure housing and complete the move without falling apart financially right before the finish line.
