Help Anisha's Family Through Health Crisis

To All Our Friends, Family, Acquaintances, and Kind Strangers,

In January 2025, I (Anisha) got a promotion at my job that required me to go from remote work to commuting daily. Devyn (my husband) quit his job in insurance sales to be a stay-at-home dad and care for our 1-year-old daughter. In April, I started feeling really bad chronic pain and was in and out of the hospital quite regularly for the next 2 months. In June, I finally got a diagnosis - Endometriosis - and I received my first surgery related to the condition. Unfortunately, my case was more advanced than could be helped by that first surgery, and I was referred out to a world-renowned Endometriosis specialty surgeon to take on my case. After a long wait, I finally had my initial appointment with him in October and have my next (and hopefully final) surgery coming up in March.

Here's where me and my family are needing some help. Throughout the beginning of my health issues, my work was supportive and I was able to maintain my pay. However, at the end of August, my bosses went to a seminar, and upon returning, decided they needed to expand my role. They also decided they didn't trust that I could continue to perform my job duties, even though I had been performing them sufficiently up to that point despite the health problems I was going through, because they were concerned that my condition may decline to a level where I wouldn't be able to keep up in the future. They proceeded to pressure me to go onto disability leave, then hired a replacement for part of my role while I was on leave, and had me return to work at a severely reduced pay upon my return. Me and my family were already barely able to afford to live on the pay I was receiving, especially as we were having to pay even more than usual due to me becoming ill, so since this change, we have been struggling. We now are completely out of savings, and my husband is unable to find work due to the need for him to still care for our daughter as I frequently have days that I am so sick I cannot take care of myself and her on my own.

Any amount that you might be able to give would be amazingly helpful. We are trying to make sure we can have enough financial stability to be able to buy groceries and diapers and necessities, as well as keep up with our rent and other bills, until I can get through my surgery in March and the recovery and we can get back on our feet. Right now we are in danger of losing our house, our car, and at this point can't even afford to buy so much as a gallon of milk.

If you have gotten this far, I want to sincerely thank you for just simply reading this whole message. Even if you can't afford to donate, just your willingness to read this message and perhaps share it with someone you know will help immensely.
