Help Anisa Study Abroad in Guatemala!

Hi, my name is Anisa Wilson, and I am a junior nursing student at Temple University. I have been given the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Guatemala, where I will be focusing on health psychology, global health, and climate change.

This program will allow me to step outside of the classroom and gain hands-on experience in international health and service learning. I will participate in activities such as:

-Global Health Service Learning with local organizations

-Spanish lessons to strengthen my ability to communicate with patients

-Cultural immersion through cooking, weaving, dance, and medicinal garden demonstrations

- Environmental health learning through farm tours and climate-focused activities

- Living with a Guatemalan host family to better understand the culture and community
