Hello, my name is Anijah Franklin. I am a rising sophomore and journalism major from Brooklyn, NY. I believe that Howard has the environment, population, and resources that enable me to excel in my studies, as well as guide me to succeed on my career path. The opportunity I have had to be amongst other young black people like me, that are all striving to have a place in society is not one I take for granted. I hope to graduate with a degree as a bison and go on to be a voice for those of marginalized communities in mass media. Anything that you have to aid me in remaining at HU will be extremely appreciated and will go directly to my educational expenses (tuition, room and board, meal plan, books & supplies, etc). I put $2,000 as a starting goal, but really anything (whether below or above:) would be a huge help. Thank you so much!
