Help Nick Recover From Theft

Hello everyone,

My name is Nick, Artistically known as 'Anickan.' I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a humbling request for your support!

I am a dedicated full-time artist, musician, creative director, cinematographer, editor, photographer, graphic designer, and professional dancer. Since the age of 18, I’ve poured my heart and soul into building a career out of my passion for art in many forms. These disciplines aren’t just a hobby for me – they are my livelihood, my identity, and my life’s work.

Two nights ago, an unfortunate incident occurred while I was in downtown LA with a client. We pulled into a parking lot and walked across the street to take some last-minute photos before we drove back to Arizona. Upon returning to our vehicle, we were devastated to find all four windows cracked and one shattered entirely. Once we noticed this we frantically checked the vehicle only to find that all of my camera equipment, my laptop, lights, and hard drives – a total of over $15,000 worth of gear – were stolen.

My hard drives held my entire film portfolio, 2 years worth of music I had been currently working on including my masters and previous compositions, and most concerning, the work I’ve done for my clients – their memories, moments, ideas, creative projects, media content, and more were all now gone.

We tried everything we could to retrieve our belongings. We reached out to the lot where it happened in hopes they could check security cameras only to receive a cold response. The police proved equally unhelpful, leaving us unable to file a report over the phone for items worth over $5,000. Even in our attempt to file the report in person only led us to Multiple closed police stations. We eventually were able to file our report online with the LAPD but only for the amount of $5,000 which doesn't come close to the amount of what was taken.

The frustration of trying to track down our stolen equipment has been overwhelming, and despite our best efforts, we’ve had no luck so far.

It’s incredibly difficult for me to ask for help – anyone who knows me understands that. But in times like these, pride must take a back seat to reality. I’m swallowing my pride to ask for your support. I’m appealing to all my fans, supporters, and loved ones to come together and help me get back on my feet. Your contribution will go towards replacing my essential equipment, refunding my clients, and covering the damages to my car.
