This is not directly about pigeon rescue, but it’s about someone who has dedicated her life to it — and now she needs our help. Many of you know Anicha, a kind soul who has rescued and cared for hundreds of pigeons, doves, and other birds over the years, giving them a second chance at life.

Today, Anicha is facing a heartbreaking crisis. Her beloved dog, also named Anicha, is 13 years old and has always been by her side during countless rescue missions. Sadly, she has been diagnosed with a severe heart murmur and gastrointestinal disease. She cannot keep food down, continues to vomit, and is now receiving intensive treatment at an emergency clinic.

Last week, she was hospitalized under 24-hour care, receiving fluids and ongoing treatment. The doctors estimate the cost at over $6,000, and now they are recommending more invasive therapy and extended intensive care, which means the expenses will climb even higher.

Anicha has already spent everything she has, but she cannot give up on her loyal companion. This dog has been her strength and her family, and losing her would be devastating.
