Help Angus: Emergency Surgery for future service dog

This morning, our service dog in training, Angus, was outside enjoying the beautiful day when everything changed in an instant.

Thanks to Judy's quick thinking, she immediately recognized that something was seriously wrong and notified Megan. Angus had suddenly begun frothing at the mouth, and within minutes his abdomen became severely distended. Megan rushed him to the emergency veterinary hospital, where the team did everything they could to relieve the gas in his abdomen. When they were unable to relieve the pressure, Angus was taken into immediate life-saving surgery.

In those terrifying moments, our only focus was keeping him alive.

As a small nonprofit, unexpected medical emergencies like this are incredibly difficult. We have already paid $6,000 just to get Angus into surgery, and his total veterinary expenses could reach $10,000.

Angus is so much more than a dog. He is training to become a mobility service dog, providing independence, stability, and unwavering companionship to someone who will depend on him every day.

If you're able to help, any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Angus's emergency veterinary care. Every dollar helps relieve the financial burden of this unexpected emergency and allows us to keep our focus where it belongs, on giving Angus the best chance at a full recovery.

If donating isn't possible, sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends is another incredible way to help. Your kindness, generosity, and support truly make a difference.

We're hopeful that Angus will recover from this with no complications and continue his journey toward changing someone's life. Right now, though, he needs our help.

From all of us at Northeast Canine, thank you for standing beside Angus, believing in our mission, and keeping him in your thoughts and prayers. We couldn't do this without you.
