Hi Everyone, this weekend one of our team members Angus had a terrible crash with the Vintage Road Racing Association at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Turn 1.
Angus is one of the hardest working and fastest learning people I have met. If you need help he is there, and if you tell him you need something done, it is DONE. He is ex-military, having served in the Canadian military overseas no questions asked.
This was his first year racing, and he was progressing very quickly on this zx-6 that he built.
Unfortunately Sunday morning while competing in the Vintage Open Junior race Angus had a terrible crash in turn one where he hit the wall, and his bike hit him.
When I returned back for the race restart and did not see him in front of me, my heart sunk. I just had a terrible feeling. Angus' Mother and his girlfriend Rachel both sadly had to witness the crash with many others.
The impact essentially broke the entire one side of his body, his pelvis, femur, tibia, fibula, ankle and scapula are all broken. He has clots in his lung, and air in his veins.
Angus is young, and very fit so this should help the road to recovery, but it's going to be a long one.
That said, Angus had made plans to move forward with a new career in the coming weeks but this is definitely going to throw a wrench in those plans.
He will need all the support he can, so I have set up a go-fund-me to try to help ease the journey and eliminate the extra stress related to the loss of any income. If anyone here is generous enough to try to help out it would be greatly appreciated; anything will help on his road to recovery.
Thanks everyone,
