Help Angie Stay Housed & Continue Her Work
Hi everyone,
This hasn’t been easy for me to do. I tried avoiding this by selling some of my equipment, but I’ve reached a point where I need support to stay stable and continue the work I love.
I’m a photographer based in Queens, working across all boroughs of NYC. This is how I make my living. I specialize in portraits, events, and content for small businesses. I care deeply about what I do and always try to show up fully for the people and communities I work with.
Last June, I experienced a major setback when I ended up in the hospital, which led to medical bills that I’ve been working to manage since then. Combined with inconsistent income as a freelancer, it created a financial gap that I’m still recovering from.
Right now, I’m facing ongoing pressure from multiple directions—rent, medical expenses, and the costs required to keep working (equipment, software, galleries, and travel).
So far, $5,071 has been raised and used directly toward rent I owed, which I’m deeply grateful for. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in any way.
This fundraiser is to help me:• Stay current on rent and housing• Cover medical expenses• Maintain the tools and services I need to keep working• Stay on my feet while I secure consistent work
The goal reflects not just one bill, but a period of stability so I can continue moving forward without falling further behind.
I want to be clear—I am actively working and looking for opportunities. If you need photography or content creation for your business, events, or brand, I would truly appreciate the chance to work together. Work is just as meaningful to me as donations.
To everyone who has already supported me—whether by donating, sharing, or hiring me—thank you. It truly means more than I can put into words.
If you’re able to give or share this, I’m deeply grateful.
God bless all of you.– Angie Vasquez
