Help Angela Through Her Fight With Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer

I am writing this on behalf of Angelas children, who are kindly allowing us to share their mum’s story during an incredibly heartbreaking time.

Just a few weeks ago, Angela received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 ovarian cancer, which has already spread to her lungs and bowel. On the 17th of November, she began aggressive chemotherapy, and over the next nine weeks she will undergo three intensive treatment sessions, followed—hopefully—by surgery (they may need to do more chemo, so could be 6 months) to remove as much of the affected organs as possible. After that, doctors will reassess, but the road ahead will be extremely tough.

Angela is one of the youngest patients currently being treated at Charing Cross Hospital for Ovarian Cancer, and because of her age, the medical team are planning further DNA testing to understand why this has happened so early in her life.

As you can imagine, Angela, and especially her children, are absolutely devastated. Life has changed overnight in a way they never expected.

To make things even harder, Angela is now unable to work, and due to her circumstances, she is not eligible for sick pay. With treatment beginning immediately and her energy focused entirely on fighting this disease, she has no way to earn an income—yet the bills and day-to-day costs continue to fall on her shoulders.

That’s why we are setting up this GoFundMe, without Angela knowing, but with the full blessing of her children. They want to take away as much financial pressure as possible so she can concentrate solely on getting through the next 12 months of treatment, surgery, and recovery.

We know it’s a difficult time of year for everyone, especially with Christmas approaching and the cost of living affecting so many families. But if you are able to give anything at all, it would help to ease the burden on Angela and her children during the hardest period of their lives.

Every donation—big or small—will help cover essential living costs, travel to and from the hospital, and support for her children while their mum undergoes treatment.

Once the time is right, we’ll share this with Angela, and we know she will be overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness and support shown to her and her family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read Angela's story, and for keeping this private from her for now. Any help in getting her through the next few months means more than you’ll ever know.

Please donate if you can, and share this page to help us support Angela during this unimaginable journey.

Thank you for taking time to read,

Love
