Help Angie Fight Metastatic Breast Cancer
My cousin Angie was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 after two lumps were found in her right breast. She went through a lumpectomy, three different types of chemotherapy, and 45 rounds of radiation. After all of that, we were hopeful she had beaten it. In February 2024, Angie was in a dirt bike accident and broke her hip. During that time, we received devastating news—her cancer had returned and was now metastatic, spreading to her spine, hips, legs, sternum, and part of her skull.
Since then, Angie has been in ongoing treatment. Doctors have told her that while the cancer may never fully go away, as long as it stays in the bones, she has a better chance of living longer. Unfortunately, a recent PET scan in January showed further progression into her sacrum and left hip. Angie is now traveling to Texas to pursue alternative treatment options in hopes of extending her life and gaining more time with her family.
She is the wife of Del for 34 years, a mother of three, with her youngest currently in 7th grade, and a proud Memaw to four grandchildren who mean everything to her. Her family is her entire world, and she is determined to keep fighting for them. We are asking for help to cover the costs of treatment and travel expenses during this difficult time.
