Help Angie Evict Her Uterus

Hi Everyone!
As many of you are aware, our fearless Angie has been hit with a pretty serious medical issue and could really use our help. Angie has been there for so many of us through our own difficult times, that it's time that we give back and show her how much we love and support her, and how thankful we are for her and her friendship. She's our therapist, a shoulder to cry on, a friend to share a laugh with, a sister, a daughter, a mom, and the one that truly knows us and our hair.
Those of you who know Angie, know that she is not one that would ask for help unless it's out of her control. Being the fighter that she is, Angie has fought through this pain for years and still shows up to the salon to be there for her clients, squeeze in last minute emergency appointments, and packing her holiday schedule to the brim just to make sure everyone gets in. With Angie's blessing, I am putting together this GoFundMe to help her in the upcoming months.

For anyone unfamiliar with her story, please see below:

"In regards to not being able to book online for January…..this long one gives explanation

On October 30th I started having severe abdominal pain, by the evening it had subsided. Halloween afternoon it started again with severe pain and became pretty unbearable. After my 3 color clients, I drove to the “mini ER” across from the salon.
After my bloodwork came back the Dr had revealed that my hemoglobin was at a 5.4 and I was in need of a blood transfusion, which they aren’t equipped for and I’ll need to be transferred to the hospital. Before being transferred they did x-rays and abdominal ultrasounds. These ultrasounds revealed that my uterus 'was the size of a woman who is 25 weeks pregnant and there are 2 massive fibroids, the largest measuring at 22cm and some small in there as well. One of the bigger fibroids has grown through the uterine wall. Your only option is a hysterectomy at this point. You risk the chance of hemorrhaging in your future cycles.' As women, we are so gaslit to believe the pain, heavy cycles, exhaustion etc are “normal” as we age and go through changes…..
Soooooo here we are, I will need to take a significant time off work, unpaid of course, for recovery. Surgery has not been scheduled yet but aiming for January. Once I have that finalized I will update in regards to booking appointments. I will do my best to accommodate before leave and if you’re unable to wait for my return I will absolutely refer you to one of the other lovely ladies.
I’m so appreciative for my amazing support system. This has been a scary ordeal to say the least but I’m looking forward to getting back to myself and saying good bye to this uterus that is trying to kill me."

As someone that recently had an outpatient hysterectomy, the cost for the surgery WITHOUT INSURANCE is around $47,570.00 - which can vary depending on duration for hospital stay and anything that could come up unexpected. If you're not aware, Angie does not have insurance and will have to cover the entire cost of this life saving surgery on her own, while off work with no pay. Recovery time is around 6-8 weeks, with bedrest for the first few weeks.
I know that times are hard for everyone with the price increases all over. Angie could really use all the support she can get during this time. If you have anything to spare during this time, anything will help to cover the cost of surgery and being off work. Angie has been there for all of us for many years, it's time we return the favor.
