Hi! My name is Abbie Tykocki, a colleague and friend of Angie and Dave Wendelberger and a former classmate of Angie's from our undergrad years at Michigan State.
Due to torrential rains the evening of August 11 and morning of August 12, the sewer system connected to Dave and Angie's home failed and flooded their basement with several feet of water and sewage. Their water heater, washer, and dryer were all a complete loss.
The damage done to the floors, walls, and even ceilings means a complete gut and replace. And then there is the loss of possessions... too countless to name here. To make matters worse, their home owner's insurance is denying their claim. The financial impact this will have on Dave, Angie, George, and Henry is huge.
Therefore, the MSU Department of Theatre faculty and staff have started this Go Fund Me page to create a relief fund for the Wendelberger family. Please contribute whatever you ever you can spare. Every dollar helps.
