Help Angie Cure Her Medical Mystery Disease!

Help Angie Cure Her Mystery Disease!

My goddaughter, Angie Emerson, is slowly wasting away and I can't let that happen.
She moved to Nashville last year to pursue her lifelong dream of making music—but chronic, mysterious health issues that have plagued her for years are becoming increasingly debilitating.

Please help her afford a doctor who can finally heal and detox her body so she can get her life back on track!
Angie typically is a creative young woman with a passion for music, dance, writing, and painting. When she is at her best, she is vibrant, energetic, and artistic. She hosts events, runs sound, and performs music. Now, though, she is just a shell of her former self.

Migraines, chronic fatigue, brain fog, cluster headaches, severe head pressure, chronic fungal infections (candida albicans), disassociation (derealization), depression, anxiety, numb limbs, discolored extremities (Raynaud’s syndrome), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). She had no idea what was going on! She sought medical help, but her doctors were stymied. They threw pills at her, but her symptoms continued. Doctors have been no help.

Her life has become a nightmare for her.

GERD.
Colonoscopies.
Proton pump inhibitors. Nothing has worked.

She went vegan, cut out acidic foods, and quit drinking alcohol. Then she tried a whole foods diet.
It didn't help.

The girl is really trying to get better but is a shell of her former self.
After three endoscopies and two colonoscopies, a new gastroenterologist made a startling discovery: "Angie you have fungus covering your small intestine!”

Why had no other doctor seen this?

We now know many of her symptoms were related to systemic candidiasis or systemic fungal overgrowth. She started to make the connection between her health and the mold in her previous living environments. Her first two rental houses had had mold problems, too.

She tried a candida and low-histamine diet and started anti-fungal treatments. She started seeing small improvements but her gut had been so damaged and permeated that it needed a long time and a lot of TLC to heal completely.
Angie was weak.
She caught COVID-19. This was a terrible setback.
She struggles with debilitating fatigue, massive food sensitivities, and her gut pain has increased tenfold. She has horrible globus sensations.
She can’t sing or even speak without a burning sensation shooting through her vocal cords—not good for an aspiring performer.

Due to distended abdominal pain, headaches, IBD, histamine intolerance, and neurological issue she's losing weight at an alarming rate.
 Her situation is now critical..
Blurry vision, massive head pressure, tingling sensations on her face, yellowing skin, crushing chest pain and horrible confusion/brain fog from eating, drinking.
She has mast cell activation syndrome and chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS), two disorders linked to living with mold.

Angie finally has found a doctor who can help. BUT TO SAVE HER LIFE IT WILL TAKE MEDICAL FUNDS.
She has started the diagnosis process with this doctor, who has found six different mycotoxins in her bloodwork, suggesting high inflammation markers to mold toxins. It is likely that her mast cells have gone completely haywire due to massive histamine intolerance, that her small intestine is riddled with candida albicans (small intestine fungal overgrowth—SIFO), and that she has small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)—an excess of methane and hydrogen sulfide bacteria. She has leaky gut, GERD, gastritis and IBS because of the SIFO/SIBO and reactivated Epstein Barr virus (most likely due to mold exposure and COVID-19). All the preliminary testing suggests CIRS and mast cell activation syndrome.
The proposed treatment to address these issues will last ten months. She will be working with a medical/functional doctor, two nutritionists, a dietician, a primary care provider, a therapist, an allergist and a gastroenterologist. This will take a team to tackle and it’s already getting costly.

She will pay rent, utilities, and groceries on top of medical expenses and various other bills during this time.

That is where you come in, dear reader. Faced with all this, Angie says, “I am humbly asking if anyone can help donate to this cause. You will literally be helping me change my life forever. I can’t remember a time that I haven't been in pain, and this doctor has offered me hope that I can live a normal life again.”
