Help Angie Breathe Again—She Needs You Now

Angie has spent the last week in the hospital fighting a terrifying battle: a pleural effusion that caused her lung to collapse. For days, she

struggled just to breathe—something most of us take for granted. As Angie fights to recover, she faces mounting medical bills that threaten to crush her even more than her illness has.

But Angie’s story is more than a medical crisis. She’s a full-time caretaker for her elderly mother and disabled brother, giving every ounce of herself to the family who depends on her. Angie has always been the one to show up—for her family, her friends, and her community. Now, she needs us to show up for her.

Your donation, no matter the size, isn’t just about covering medical costs. It’s about helping Angie heal, keeping her family together, and giving her the strength to get back on her feet. Every dollar raised will help her take the next breath without the weight of financial worry on her chest.

Imagine the relief she’ll feel knowing her community has her back. Click now to donate to Angie’s GoFundMe and be the lifeline she desperately needs. Together, we can help Angie breathe freely again.

***UPDATE 12/5/24***. Today when the doctors visited with Angie, they let her know that she still had a ways to go. She currently has about 450 ml of output daily from her chest tube. This needs to reduce to 150 ml before she can be discharged. Additionally if they are unable to keep the fluid from rebuilding, she will need surgical intervention. Please say a prayer that will not be necessary. Angie also found out today that her short term disability through her employer does not kick in until after a 7 day waiting period. Unfortunately that is a lot
of unpaid time. She will also need to take an additional 2-3 days off once she returns home to rest her body and allow time for her lung to heal. There is still a long road ahead. Thank you all for your support thus far. If you’ve not been able to support this fundraising effort yet, please consider any amount. If you are unable to contribute monetarily, please consider sharing this link to get the word out. We thank each and every one of you, and we all want what’s best for Angie at this time. Thanks for your support!
