Help Angie and Jeff Overcome Brain Cancer

Donation protected
updated 11/4

Today is a quiet day for reflection & getting ready to go back to the drawing board., I have a whole “tumor board” that looks at my case & discusses next steps etc.

Tomorrow I have a Brain MRI at 3:15 & all we want to hear is “tumor shrank let’s get it out”
Wednesday I have a full PET scan & all I want to hear is “nothing new since 8/21” my whole Army needs to hear that. My KIDS NEED A WIN. If nothing spread then we see how the tumor board wants to proceed. Can I schedule surgery , more chemo, radiation next? I will trust whatever they tell me but we need a win.

pray with me that we get good news by weeks end.

Some severe side effects with hearing loss has us change course a little for around 3 of chemo.

Then I went in to discover my hemoglobin has dropped significantly. Like I said every day is a crap shoot. I’ve taken to using a fire tablet a lot because I can truly see the letters. Waiting to hear when I can see an ophthalmologist but I think it won’t be til after my tumor removal. Here’s to hoping this agressive cancer responds aggressively as the said it would. Adding more chemos is but an option but potentially a necessity and if it comes to that I will do it.

The hardest thing I can say is as the explanations of benefits till in; I get sick and I wonder how all this works because the glue of our family is coming apart; I’m B s m SS, Jeff is stressed & we’re both doing our best. Thank ma for listening.

In August, our world was turned upside down when Angie was diagnosed with a very rare type of neuroendocrine carcinoma, malignant aggressive cancer in her brain.

She lost her job one week before diagnosis due to illness, and Jeff is on FMLA. Financially, this is a huge burden as they are trying to navigate SSI benefits, no unemployment, and depletion of their savings, having just moved to Florida to be closer to family.

Angie is always the first person to step up and donate anything & offer help. She gives so freely of herself. Jeff is doing everything he can on a daily basis to care for her as the cancer is extremely aggressive and has eaten through her bone, and it’s pushing on her frontal lobe. There will be 3-6 rounds of chemo every 3 weeks, radiation & potentially surgery to remove what they can, but not all will be operable. They have a very long road ahead of them, and eventually, they hope the tumor will be operable. But it is going to take time.

Neither of them want to ask for help but it’s time; otherwise, the stress of finances will overwhelm them. Everyone always asks what they can do to help. ANY donation to lighten the burden would be a blessing so they can focus on fighting this battle with their kids & family.

Please let’s help them through this.
