Help Angel's Mom Overcome Stage 4 Cancer

My name is Angel, and I am seeking help for my mom, who is bravely fighting stage 4 cancer. Originally from Cuba, she has always been a pillar of strength and resilience. Unfortunately, the cancer has now paralyzed her left side due to its spread to her brain, and she struggles to breathe because of the cancer in her lungs. She also has a visible tumor that makes speaking and even breathing very challenging. She is always in terrible aching pain on her face due to the tumor.

In addition to these severe health issues, she urgently needs financial assistance for extensive physical therapy, specialized radiation treatments, and essential security measures for the restroom so she can shower and use the toilet peacefully. The radiotherapy she currently has to endure makes her very weak and drowsy. She has had three blood transfusions within the week that she’s been at the hospital, and that’s without the radiation. We haven’t begun that due to financial problems. She also has special dietary needs and restrictions; the only thing that really goes down due to the tumor on her face is protein shakes. Tragically, she has lost half of her teeth because of the tumor growing.

My mother only speaks Spanish, and the medical team has a hard time understanding her due to the severity of the tumor and her only knowing Spanish. Her mouth is constantly bleeding, her iron is very low, and her oxygen levels are low. She is a mother of six children, and tragically, one of her children passed away not too long ago. This loss has added immense sadness to her already difficult journey. She now has five children depending on her, and she is currently on Medicaid, which unfortunately doesn’t cover even half of the things she needs. The financial burden of her care is overwhelming, and we are in desperate need of support to ensure she receives the proper treatment and environment to fight this disease.
