I became Angel’s big brother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship program three years ago and in that time I watched him overcome massive struggles.

 

He grew up without a father and a mother who lost custody of him due to substance abuse. Despite all the hardships, he’s become a good hearted, incredible person and I’m inspired by his perseverance.

 

Angel has a passion for producing music and despite not having any equipment or training, he taught himself how to make beats on his phone. He has a natural talent as you can see:

 

 

 

 

 

It’s his dream to become a music producer and I believe that with a little bit of support he will succeed.

 

For his birthday I want to set him up with a laptop, Akai mini keyboard and an online course for beat making. He says he’d be overwhelmingly grateful and would spend all his waking hours developing his skills.
