On October 29, 2024, my boyfriend Angelo’s life changed forever. He was shot five times, which left him paralyzed from the stomach down and unable to walk. The months that followed were incredibly difficult—Angelo spent four to five months in the hospital and in therapy, fighting to recover. During this time, I was pregnant, and by the time Angelo was able to come home, I was nearly ready to give birth. Despite everything, we were able to welcome our baby together, and having our family has been a source of strength for both of us.

Since the injury, Angelo has struggled to cope with the changes in his life. The emotional and physical challenges have been overwhelming, but our family’s support has helped him keep going. We are now hoping to give Angelo a chance at a better future through a spinal cord stem cell injection at Auragens—Panama Stem Cell Therapy and Research Center. This treatment offers hope that he may one day walk again, and it would mean everything to us to see him regain his independence.
