Help Angelo Heal: Support His Surgery
Donation protected
UPDATE:
I was discovered that Angelo's infection spread from his leg into to his abdominal cavity. The decision was made to let him go.
I want to Thank everyone that donated to this stray kitties cause. Your donation lightened the load of the expense of the care for Angelo.
Thank you everyone.
UPDATE July 4, 2025
For those that are following, Angelo was found hobbling down a road in south Coatesville, and was picked up by one of my staff member, who brought him to me and I took him to my vet for his care. Originally it was believed he would need his leg amputated, but once he was given anesthesia it was discovered his leg could be saved. Problem is he has sever lacerations and loose of skin. This requires him to have bandage changes every 3 to 5 days, and to be on pain medication. Each bandage change cost around $176.00. And because he is FIV positive we are looking at MONTHS of this routine vs weeks if he was a healthy cat.
Every donation goes directly towards his medical care. He is managing well on the pain meds and eating. The vet even said he is a real trooper and would make a get pet for someone once healed.
Please find it in your heart to help him out. This is an unexpected "expense" or as I call it "project" that I have taken on. And I am grateful to all that have donated towards his care. Every little bit helps.
Thank you for all you have done for little Angelo.
Hi, my name is Angelo.
I was picked up by a nice person who saw me limping down the road in Coatesville. I was in a lot of pain. They were nice enough to call their boss who runs a pet sitting business, and she drove me to her house.
That is when things started to get better. She took me to this nice doctor who examined me, took some blood, and took pictures of my legs.
I have one leg that is severely broken and the other has some road rash. I also have some abrasions on the side of my head. To make things worse, I am FIV positive.
The nice lady has decided to take a chance on me. After a lot of discussion with the doctor, it was decided I should have my leg amputated. And with that comes a big bill. A $3,000.00 bill.
First, I have to gain some strength. I am approximately 6 to 12 months old and only weigh 5.8 pounds. Once I have gained some weight, and I feel a little better and have the surgery done, I will need to be neutered, vaccinated, and find a home. This kind person can't keep me. She already has 4 kitties, and it is best I stay an inside cat.
So please help her help me. I want to feel better.
This cat is a happy, loving cat. And it is obvious he isn't afraid of humans. He loves to be petted, and I am caring for him to build up some strength so he can survive the surgery. Please consider making a donation to help him.
Every little bit helps, and if you can't donate, please share.
UPDATE!
After further diagnostics of Angelo, he didn't need to have his leg amputated! He did need to have surgery to close the wounds on both legs and the one on the side of his head. This was great news to myself and his finder. During his surgery he was also neutered.
Angelo is resting at my house, but still has a long road to recovery with multiple bandage changes every 3 to 5 days and medication. He needs to learn to walk on his one leg that was severely injured.
All donations received are going directly to his care. Thank you all that have donated to this cause. Every little bit helps.
