Meet Angelle, a brave young girl from Jacksonville, NC, who is fighting through an incredibly tough medical journey. She was recently diagnosed with severe scoliosis and just endured a grueling two-month treatment that included wearing a halo with traction weights to help straighten her spine—followed by a complex spinal fusion surgery involving a rod placement down her back.

This treatment required both of her parents to take unpaid time off work to care for her full-time, leaving them financially strained and emotionally exhausted.

Now, just as they were beginning to recover, they’ve been hit with devastating news: one of the screws in Angelle’s spine has come loose. She must return to the hospital in Greenville, SC, for another surgery, scheduled for April 11th, and a two-week recovery stay.

This unexpected second surgery comes with overwhelming out-of-pocket costs, including:
