Hi! I'm Angelina, a Junior Animation & VFX (2D Emphasis) student at Chapman University. I'm about to start my thesis film this Spring, and I just signed up for an amazing study abroad program exclusively designed for animation students like myself. Our major doesn't have many abroad opportunities like other film majors at Chapman do, so I really want to take advantage of the one amazing offer we do have. This program will grant me a certification from the leading animation school in storytelling, which will be a great aid in giving me future internships or career opportunities. Most importantly though, the experience will be unforgettable.

"Gobelins is widely regarded as the world's leading animation school. Founded over fifty years ago it has maintained an impeccable reputation with a number one ranking in the world in 2023 by the Animation Career Review. Notable alumni include Oscar nominee Pierre Coffin and Dreamworks director Pierre Perifel. The undergraduate program produces content which is show cased each year at the Annecy Animation Festival a hugely popular gathering of international industry professionals and independent animators which is held each summer in the French Alps.

The course objective is to create and pitch an idea for short form story driven animated content. Instruction and presentations on story analysis, script writing, pitch preparation, visual development, story development and supplemental life drawing classes are mixed with group critiques and one-on-one tutoring [from industry experts]. The course concludes with all participants presenting a pitch and receiving feedback from a jury."
