Help Angelina Stay Healthy and Happy
Donation protected
This is the newest member of my family, Angelina. She is a rescue I took in February after someone reached out to me, knowing I have other bunnies I've taken in years ago. She was three months old when I took her in, and she has just now turned six months old on the 15th of May, this month. My other rescue, Ostara, is over two years old, and unfortunately, I wasn't aware of how challenging having two female rabbits would be once Angelina hit puberty.
Female rabbits find it hard to bond with one another when both are not fixed. Angelina, since hitting puberty, has begun acting aggressively and marking everything, even though she had been litter-trained prior to these hormonal changes. For those that are not aware, I struggle daily with various chronic illnesses that cause the physical strain of washing and scrubbing her territorial markings to be strenuous and unrealistic to maintain, given my body's limitations.
Along with all of that, female rabbits are almost guaranteed to develop uterine cancer later in life if not spayed. This is something I found out from the vet when getting my other rescue, Ostara, fixed a few years back.
This is why I am asking for help from my community to help me and my furry family pay for the large medical bills that come with having a rabbit spayed at an exotic animal clinic.
