My name is Angelina, and I’m a college student with a deep love for history. I’ve been invited by my beloved professor, Dr. Pearcy, to join a once-in-a-lifetime educational trip to Panama City, Panama, and the Guanadup Islands. This is my very first trip anywhere, and only ten outsiders have ever been to these islands. We’ll be touring historical sites, visiting the Panama Canal, and watching Dr. Pearcy give a speech at the university there. It’s a rare opportunity, especially since Dr. Pearcy, who is cherished by the local people, may not be able to make this trip again due to age and health.

While I’m working hard to cover my round-trip flight, the biggest challenge is paying for hotel and board, which costs several hundred dollars per night for seven days. The trip came up on short notice, and balancing work with college classes hasn’t left me much time to save.
