We are raising funds for a headstone for Scott Sharpe.

Scott passed away in June 2025 after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a daughter, Angelina, aged 20. Unfortunately, she inherits his medical bills, and after paying those and paying for his burial, it leaves nothing for a decent headstone.

For those who knew Scott, he was so giving to others and a great friend. I’ve known Scott since high school in 1972. He continued on to gain a Marine Biology degree at the University of Hawaii, and that place remained forever his home. He was such a smart man and a loving father. Nothing in this world meant more to Scott than Angelina. He was ultimately a marine mammal trainer. Amongst his work, he trained dolphins to point out mines for the Navy, trained the dolphin for the movie version of Flipper, Keiko the whale for the movie Free Willy, and others.

If you knew Scott, you probably knew how fun he was and the great shenanigans he was always up to.

If you’ve ever had to bury someone, you know how expensive headstones are. I hope that all of his friends would help by donating something to this fund to give him a headstone he deserves. He is buried in the Kaneohe area of Oahu, Hawaii.
