Help Angelica Fight Cancer - PLEASE GIVE AND SHARE

Dear family and friends,

José and I (Anjuli), have started a go fund me to help raise funds to pay for a cancer treatment for my dear Sister in law, Angelica Valdivia. Many of you know and love Angelica. She is a wonderfully caring, kind and selfless person, she never asks for anything for herself, but has been an active contributor to helping her friends, family and her community — putting smiles of joy on countless faces with the beautiful dresses and outfits she has made for many of you! She is an amazing mother of four and since her diagnosis her two oldest children and husband have rallied around her to help and do whatever they need to, to help take care of their much younger siblings and to help take care of her.

Angelica has Leiomyosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of Cancer. Because this type of cancer is so rare, it is recommended that she see a Leiomyosarcoma specialist, as they would be the most knowledgeable in helping her. The science on this cancer is ever evolving and there are hospitals that specialize and have cutting edge technology that may be able to help her. The treatments and surgeries she has had in Mexico have not worked and we have found three potential clinical trials that we might be able to get her into at a hospital on the East Coast, called Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

There are scholarships and grants that we will apply for on her behalf for treatment, but the initial review of her medical records and second opinion are not covered at all by any of that or any insurance. At this point, she would have to be medically transported, as there’s no way she could sit on a regular commercial plane all the way to the East Coast in her condition.

Time is of the essence, her tumor is very aggressive and has recently started to grow very fast and very big - making it difficult for Angelica to eat or sleep and causing her a lot of pain. Our call for help is urgent and our last hope to try to get her into a clinical trial, please help us help her. Angelica has a lot of fight in her and her children, husband and our whole family need her, we need to know that we’ve tried anything and everything to save her life.

We have to keep fighting and trying to help her but please respect her privacy and don’t contact her directly. I’m sure many of you did not know about this or at least the severity of the situation because of the pandemic and we don’t want her to be overwhelmed with people trying to reach her. If you want to reach out, I recommend contacting her husband Chuy, or her daughter Marifer or José and I - and we can try to answer any questions you may have.

Ayudemos a Angelica a combatir el cancer - POR FAVOR DA Y COMPARTE

Hola familia y amigos, Anjuli y José abrimos una cuenta de Go Fund Me para tratar de colectar fondos para un tratamiento de cancer para nuestra hermana y cuñada Angelica Valdivia. Muchos de ustedes conocen a Angelica, ella es muy cariñosa y compasiva. Una persona que da lo que puede sin pedir nada a cambio. Siempre activa en su comunidad, en los grupos católicos, su familia y trayendo sonrisas y gratos momentos a muchos de los cuales ella confeccionó vestidos para fechas memorables. Con una asombrosa fuerza de voluntad dedicada a sus cuatro hijos y esposo desde que fue diagnosticada de Cancer tratando de darles todo lo mejor. Su esposo y los dos más grandes se han dedicado a ayudarla con los dos más pequeños desde que fue diagnosticada.

Angelica tiene Leiomyosarcoma, una forma muy rara de Cancer, y porque es muy raro se le a recomendado buscar ayuda a un centro especializado en Leiomyosarcoma. Lo cual sería la mejor posible ayuda para su tratamiento. La ciencia está evolucionando constantemente y este hospital pudiese darle la ayuda que necesita. Los tratamientos y cirugías recibidas en México a lo largo de casi dos años no le han servido mucho. Encontramos una clínica llamada Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center y tienen tratamientos especializados que tal vez le pueden ayudar para su condición.

Hay ayudas financieras ya que son estudios muy costosos pero para el diagnóstico inicial para saber si se puede dar seguimiento a su condición no está cubierto por ningún tipo de seguro. A este punto si se pudiese dar seguimiento a su tratamiento tendría que ser transportada por modo aéreo de la clínica ya que su condición es muy frágil.

El tratamiento debe ser urgente, el tumor es muy agresivo a crecido y empeorado rápidamente. Es muy difícil para Angélica el poder comer y dormir causándole mucho dolor y malestar. Está sería nuestra última esperanza de poder meterla en estos estudios clínicos y tratar de salvar su vida. Es por eso que necesitamos de su ayuda. Angelica tiene muchas ganas de luchar por su vida y la de su hijos y esposo. Y todos la queremos ver en mejor estado del que se encuentra. Ella a tratado lo mejor que a podido y muchos le han apoyado moral y económicamente, pero queremos extenuar todas las opciones posibles.

Si muchos de ustedes no sabían de su condición porque esa forma de cancer es súper agresivo y empeorado bastante rápido. Por su condición delicada y porque necesita descansar mental y físicamente les pedimos si quieren contactarla lo hagan a su esposo Chuy o su hija Marifer.
