Help My Uncle Walk Again With Dignity
Hi friends,
I'm writing with a hopeful heart to ask for your support for someone very dear to me — my uncle — who many of you may know and love. Our beloved Tio Deley recently underwent a below-the-knee amputation, and as you can imagine, life has changed drastically for him. While he’s doing his best to stay strong, the road ahead is still overwhelming.
Due to complications from diabetes, he has already faced five surgeries, each one more physically and emotionally draining than the last. This entire journey has been deeply traumatic — filled with pain, setbacks, and uncertainty.
Though the public healthcare system in Brazil provided him with a basic prosthetic leg, it’s an outdated model that causes him constant discomfort and pain — making it impossible to use. As a result, he’s been left unable to walk and completely dependent on others for even the simplest daily tasks.
What he truly needs is a modern, high-quality prosthetic leg — one that’s pain-free, functional, and properly fitted. He also needs a better wheelchair to help him regain mobility and some independence as he heals.
We’re hoping to raise $7,000 to cover:
A comfortable, high-quality prosthetic leg
A reliable wheelchair
Some basic home needs to improve his quality of life
My uncle is not the kind of man who asks for help. He’s always been a quiet giver — the type who shows up for others without ever expecting anything in return. Now, he’s the one who needs a hand. And as his family, we’re doing everything we can to ensure he doesn’t face this journey alone.
If you're able to give — any amount, big or small — it will make a world of difference. And if you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be moved to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your support. You’re not just helping him walk again — you’re helping restore his independence and his dignity. That means everything.
With love and deep gratitude,
Angela & Family
