Hello, my name is Angela, and I'm trying to raise money so that my mother is able to get surgery (panniculectomy) that is needed for her not to be kicked off the waiting list for a new kidney. She was unfortunately not able to get the surgery covered by her insurance. We have tried multiple times to appeal but have failed. She's had kidney failure for 6 years now. She has done peritoneal dialysis for 4 years, but that has stopped working and is now doing hemodialysis. A year ago, she underwent a big surgery for her heart and now has a pacemaker as well. I hope to get her surgery done soon while she is in a healthy state.

Hola, me llamo Angela y estoy intentando recaudar fondos para que mi madre pueda someterse a la cirugía (paniculectomía) necesaria para evitar que la expulsen de la lista de espera para un nuevo riñón. Lamentablemente, su seguro médico no la cubrió. Hemos intentado apelar varias veces, pero no hemos tenido éxito. Lleva 6 años con insuficiencia renal. Ha recibido diálisis peritoneal durante 4 años, pero dejó de funcionar y ahora está en hemodiálisis. Hace un año, se sometió a una cirugía mayor del corazón y ahora también tiene un marcapasos.
