Angela Williams has been a cornerstone of the KIPP Bayview Elementary community for the last seven years, and of the Bayview for much longer. Unfortunately, she and her family were severely impacted by the recent Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, devastating their homes. We are seeking donations to help her rebuild - please see her message below.

Hello everyone,

As you know, Hurricane Melissa landed in Jamaica and left severe destruction when it left. Nowhere on the island was spared.

Areas in my hometown, Montego Bay, are in an unbelievable and unrecognizable state. It resembles a war-ravaged zone. Communications with my family have been spotty and infrequent, but thank God they are alive. Water and electricity have not yet been restored.

My home has been severely damaged and is unlivable. It is with this knowledge and a hurting heart that I am appealing and reaching out to you for help so that I can work on rebuilding once areas are given the safety green light.
