Help Angela Replace Damaged Screen Doors

I'm Angela, and I'm trying to raise money to replace my screen doors to my porch that were destroyed by a Pastor and his little brother.

Back in May, I hired someone to take some junk from my garage to the dump. They came and picked it up, I paid them, and they left. Hours later 2 men showed up at my house pounding on our door and proceeded to scream at my husband about us leaving garbage at their church. We told them we did not, that we paid someone to haul it away. The older one threatened us and as they left the younger one (15 years old) kicked in the screen doors. After the first kick the older one egged him on, telling him to keep going. After a couple more kicks my doors were in ruin, shattered to pieces and the hinges bent. The men left.

Then the phone calls to the landline started. More threats, me trying to explain what appeared to have happened, him calling me a stupid liar and saying they were watching us and we had to come get the garbage, etc. I called the police, they came and took the report and took photos, assigned the case to a detective. When I checked my email that night I found messages via Google Voice that they had left for us when we stopped answering their calls. I passed all information on to the police.

It turned out the garbage hauler guy had some loose boxes from my garage start to fly out of the truck so he pulled over and put them in a dumpster. Not ideal, but only a few flattened boxes. The accusation of a full dumpster and littered parking lot were lies, the (later) claims that they paid the city $800 to clean it up also a lie- the detective looked into all of this. He spoke to the men who came, the older one being an actual PASTOR at this church no less, and told them to make it right with me.

The case was pointless because the cops said the only crime committed was done by the younger one, a minor, and pressing charges would not get my doors replaced. Small claims wouldn't help because the kid has no job and even if he did it would pay me pennies per week at best. The kid did text once asking to rebuild my doors and then suddenly started demanding I pay him $800 instead.

I've tried to save up the money to replace the doors and it just has been out of reach with house payments and bills and groceries and gas, and I need to get them replaced before winter. They are wooden and have to be painted to be sealed, I have to get hardware and pay an installer. Interestingly, I see that this church (which isn't very far from me) is installing new windows.

I have considered trying to discuss it with them again but honestly, I am scared they will start harassing me again.

So I thought maybe I could drum up 40 or so people to donate $10 each and can get the front of my house fixed before winter piles snow into it! Any help is appreciated, I want this whole nightmare put behind me. Thank you!
