Hi, my name is Angela, and I’m a single mom. I’m sharing my story because I recently went through something that has shaken me emotionally and financially.
While I was out kayaking near Key Bridge in Washington, D.C. — just trying to get some fresh air and clear my mind — someone broke into my car. When I got back, I found the window shattered and all of my belongings stolen. My debit and credit cards, personal documents, and a large amount of cash I had saved were all gone.
This experience has left me devastated. As a single mother, every dollar matters — and losing what little security I had has made it incredibly hard to stay afloat.
I’m doing my best to stay strong for my child and hold everything together, but the truth is: I need help right now.
If you are able to donate anything at all, it would go directly toward:
• Replacing essentials and repairing my broken car window.
I never thought I’d be in the position to ask for help like this. But if you’re able to give — or even just share this page — it would mean the world to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
With gratitude,
Angela
