Help Angela Amour Support Displaced Job Corps Students
Angela Amour is a passionate and dedicated educator who has spent her entire career guiding and uplifting young people. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, she taught in Milwaukee Public Schools for 18 years, always striving to make a difference. Ms. Amour is a 1995 Job Corps graduate who, 30 years later, returned to Job Corps in Kittrell, North Carolina as a Career Counselor in the culinary department—paying it forward to the program that helped her find her way.
Angela’s commitment to education and youth is unwavering. After earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, she dedicated her career to helping students realize their potential and create a positive impact in their communities.
Now, Angela Amour needs our help.
Job Corps programs across the country are closing with little notice, leaving vulnerable young people without safe places to go. Angela is heartbroken for these students—many of whom have no family support and face the very real threat of homelessness.
Three of her students, ages 18, 19, and 23, will soon be living with her. Two of them have already completed the culinary program and their high school diplomas, while the third is just three credits shy of graduation. One has been accepted to Johnson and Wales Culinary School, and another is applying to Shaw University. These students have been role models at Job Corps, working hard and giving back to their campus community.
At a time when Angela should be focusing on finding a new job, her priority has been making sure these students have safe and stable housing. She has opened her heart and home to them, but she needs financial support to cover housing costs, bills, and essential resources until she can secure a new position.
Please consider donating to help Angela:
✅ Secure stable housing for these young people
✅ Cover basic living expenses and bills
✅ Continue advocating and providing a safe place for other displaced students
If you are able to donate or offer housing or resources, your kindness will directly impact the lives of these students and honor Angela’s lifelong mission of supporting youth.
Thank you for your support!
