For as long as I can remember, I have been dealing with medical issues that have deeply affected my life. In November 2024, I went on disability leave after losing feeling in my right arm due to neck problems. By May, I had to leave the job I loved for six years because of worsening back pain. My husband is now the only one working, and I spend much of my time seeing specialists and managing my health.
In December, I underwent cervical spine surgery. Even though I met my out-of-pocket maximum, my insurance is still charging me a significant amount for the procedure. On top of that, I can no longer afford the treatments that had finally brought my migraines under control, so I am facing the return of constant, debilitating pain. Now, I am preparing for yet another surgery on my lower back, as my L3 is bulging onto my L4, and I am losing feeling in my leg.
I have always been a stubbornly independent person and never imagined I would ask for help. But I am scared of being in constant pain again and unable to care for myself. This is my cry for help. Any funds given will go directly toward my medical bills and treatments. As of now, I already have $4000 in medical debt needing to be taken care of and that doesn't include future costs. If there is anything extra, I promise to pay it forward to someone else in need. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation—your support means more than words can say.
