Help Angela Cope with Matthew's Passing
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tina Zekich, and I am a close friend of Angela Greenfield.
On January 25, Angela tragically lost her son, Matthew. At just 17 years old, Matthew showed incredible strength and resilience throughout his journey, including undergoing a bone marrow transplant. Despite his brave fight, Matthew’s life was sadly cut short. Though his time with us was far too brief, Matthew’s heart, kindness, and love left an everlasting imprint on everyone who knew him.
No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their child. Angela and her family are facing the unimaginable pain of losing Matthew, and we want to help ease their financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. We are raising funds to help cover medical and funeral expenses and give Angela the support and time she needs to grieve with her family and process this overwhelming loss. No matter the amount, your contribution will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, we ask that you please keep Matthew’s family in your thoughts and prayers and consider sharing this page.
A little bit about Matthew:
Matthew wasn’t just a bright and hardworking teenager; he was a young man full of love, ambition, and excitement for life. Matthew was a junior at Sandburg High School, where he was well-loved by his friends and teachers. He also shared a special bond with his family. Even at a young age, Matthew achieved so much. He started a successful landscaping business, a testament to his determination and entrepreneurial spirit. He enjoyed cooking, helping around the house, and making time for the people who meant the most to him. His respect and kindness earned him countless friendships, and he treated everyone with the utmost love and compassion.
As the second born, he adored his two brothers, Michael and Mark. Matthew was the glue that kept his family close, always finding ways to make them smile and bring them together. His relationship with his mom, Angela, was especially beautiful. They were inseparable, best friends who provided each other with unwavering dedication and support.
Matthew had a special bond with his dog, Bruno, who was much more than a pet; he was a best friend. Whether they were playing outside, relaxing at home, or just enjoying each other’s company, Matthew’s care for Bruno reflected the deep compassion he had for everyone in his life.
Matthew enjoyed spending time with his father, Steve, at his grandparents’ farm in Wisconsin, where he experienced some of his happiest memories. Riding the tractor was one of his favorite things to do, and those moments at the farm were full of laughter, connection, and simple joys that his family will cherish forever.
Matthew also had a deep affection for his grandparents, Linda and Frank, better known as Noni and Papa, who lived with him and were a cherished part of his daily life. The time he spent with them was filled with love and laughter, as they supported one another and created countless memories together. His grandparents adored him, and their bond was truly special.
Let Matthew’s unconditional love for his family, Bruno, and the simple joys of life remind us of the beauty of treasuring every moment. Let us come together to honor his memory and support the family he loved so deeply. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion during this time of sorrow.
