Hi! My name is Angela Johnson, and I am a rising sophomore in high school rowing for St. Andrew Rowing Club in Roswell, GA. I have been given the incredible honor to participate in the U19 US Rowing Selection camp. I will train for 5 weeks in Chula Vista, CA at the Elite Athlete Training Center working to earn a seat at the U19 World Rowing Championships in Lithuania this August.

I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to grow as a young athlete in this sport that I am so passionate about. Rowing has not only pushed me to be my best physically, but has also directed me to become a strong leader. I strive to constantly improve in terms of discipline, sportsmanship, and communication, and to ultimately be the teammate I would want to have. I am so excited to push myself and further these skills at Selection camp this summer.

2024 USRowing SE Regionals - 1st place finish u17 8+, 4th place finish u16 8+

2024 USRowing Youth Nationals - 3rd place finish u17 8+

2024 Head of the Charles - 8th place finish Youth Women’s 8+

2024 Head of the Hooch - 1st place finish u19 8+, 1st place finish u19 4+, 1st place finish u17 mixed 8+, 1st place u17 2-, 1st place finish novice 1x

2025 Dogwood - 1st place finish 1v 8+, 1st place finish 1v 4+

2025 USRowing SE Regionals - 1st place finish Varsity 4+, 3rd place finish Varsity 8+

As I continue on this journey and continue to dedicate myself and my time to this sport, the financial costs unfortunately accumulate. I am raising $10,000 to help cover costs for Selection and Worlds fees, airfare and travel costs, and training and equipment expenses.
