Support Angelas' Move To A Healthier Home
I'm Angela Baxter a 60 yr old disabled senior who moved to Las Vegas, Nv. from North Carolina. Previously lived in San Diego, Ca. where I worked as a High End Security Officer/ also did Security and Investigations at another Security company. As well as other jobs in the past. Had a knee injury as well as a back injury from jobs in the past. Which costed me to be permanently disabled. I've always been a hard worker. Either (2) full time jobs or (1) 16 hour job since I was 19 or 20. Security was one of the jobs I was able to do after my back injury.
In 2018 I moved to Las Vegas in search of an Orthopedic doctor who would do a knee replacement for me. North Carolina doctors kept saying I was too young to have a knee replacement at that time. I had to endure pain for 11 years from my knee and learned how to deal with the back pain even longer.
So, in moving to Las Vegas in search of a doctor. Little did I know I had to get both knees replaced. And driving the stick shift across country didn't help. Had to give up my car when I got to Vegas. But thank God, I was blessed with another one. Both knees were replaced within 7months, back in 2022 and 2023. I thank God I'm walking and moving much better now!
So, after moving to, what is suppose to be a non smoking complex community. The past 5 yrs here, I've had several health problems due to inhaling multiple neighbors smoking habits of toxic chemicals. Which has been detrimental to my health. I have asthma and experiencing lung problems (oxygen machine used) had to let it go back. Was scared to use at night cause of the neighbors smoking, thinking the place will blow up after hearing a small explosion at one time.
October 27th I was taking to the emergency room, where they had to keep me in the hospital for 5 days. Due to palpitations, hypertension and uncontrollable hypertension was my diagnosis, as well as anxiety cause of multiple neighbors smoking toxic chemicals. It took 2-3 days for doctors to get my blood pressure stabilized. It kept going up no matter what bp meds were given to me. That scared me so bad.
When I left the hospital. There were (4) different kind of medications, I now have to take. In 2006, I had a TIA Attack. I thank God cause I know he was with me. I've been rushed to the emergency room on several occasions since living here. And just the other night, I couldn't breathe and jumped up out of my sleep @ 2:30am, dued to neighbors smoking, again. Thank God I had some natural allergy medicine.
Also just had (Vitrectomy surgery) macular hole on October 10th. Which, I know came from being dizzy running into my bed pole cause neighbors where smoking heavily. Eye was bruised badly! It's healing and believing my vision will come back to 20/20 vision, In due time! My God is an able God!
I'm on a fixed income and asking for support, so I can move out of here. Second hand smoke from cigarettes is bad enough, when they do that. Then, when they do the toxic chemicals, too. That's deadly! So, to get support to move to a healthier place and hire a moving company to move me. Would be a blessing! I would be very appreciate and grateful for any amount you can give. I stay on the 2nd floor with (2) knee replacements, back problems, heart and my breathing. It's a real challenge!
Would also like to get a Professional to come out and test my apartment before moving, since results were covered up in the past and denied me a copy.
Any support you can offer will make a difference during my time of need.
Thank you in advance for your prayers, kindness and generosity.
Angela Baxter
