Help Angela and Kyle Care for Flynn's Healing Journey

Hello Friends and Family!

The Nichols' family are in need of a village to surround them!

Thursday, April 30th, Flynn was in a very unexpected accident at home causing major trauma to his hands. He is currently in the hospital after having one surgery with more on the way.

Angela will have to stay home for a long while with Flynn during recovery and will have to make many trips back and forth to Louisville for appointments and surgeries.

If you are wanting to help them monetarily, we have started this gofundme, but you can also directly venmo Angela or Ashley if you want to contact us directly.

We also want prayers, lots of them! Prayers for the surgeons guidance, no infection, minimal pain, and swift recovery for a very excitable (and accident prone) seven year old.

We are all still reeling from the initial injury, but this is going to be a long road for the Nichols family and we are grateful for all of you who love and support them.

Update:

Flynn has had two surgeries now and a recheck. Things are healing and doctors seem to be cautiously optimistic, but still unsure of how much use of his left hand he will have when it’s all said and done. Flynn is being a trooper, and Angela and Kyle have seemed to have good routine of pain meds that keep him from being uncomfortable. I mean how do you keep a bouncy 7 year old down? He’s his cheeky self and has journeyed through this experience so well. We keep praying for a miraculous healing in Jesus name, and we bless all of you have given monetarily, your thoughts and prayers, and your time and talents. We appreciate everyone so much.

There will be another surgery in the not so distant future for some plastic surgery to fix his arm tissue as the initially surgery turned his left arm into a bit of a scarred mess, then another surgery to try to repair some tendons that were damaged. Fingers crossed (prayers abound) for the absolute best outcome from these surgeries.

Someday he will get to start physical therapy. And we are excited for the day that he can show off how far he’s come.

UPDATE 5/27/25:

Hello everyone! Just to update if you happen to come back here to check in, Flynn is scheduled to have his 4th surgery this Friday. He has had different grafts to his arm/hand, and the graft that covered the top of his hand didn't take, so he will be planned to have another graft taken from another area on his body to cover. We are continuing to pray for a miracle! If it's God's will may it be so! But we have had so much mercy and Flynn has handled everything so well, we feel very blessed even with setbacks. Keep praying! Thank you for all your hearts for giving and well wishes. On to the next part of this journey.
