Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
As many of you know, Dan has been in the ICU since the end of May, when he fell critically ill with septic pneumonia. While his progress has been nothing short of miraculous, his road to recovery is still very long and uncertain. Every day, he shows incredible strength, but there’s no denying the challenges ahead.
Throughout this difficult time, Angela has been by his side every step of the way, offering him love and support. As you can imagine, being at the hospital with Dan around the clock has meant that Angela, who is self-employed, has had to put her work on hold. While she’s been able to work here and there as Dan’s condition improves, she’s far from being able to return to full-time hours.
This is where we, as their friends, family, and community, can step in. We want to help alleviate some of the financial strain Angela and Dan are facing in the absence of both of their regular incomes, so that they can focus on his healing in the months ahead, without the added stress of everyday financial worries.
If you are in a position to contribute, your donation—whether large or small—would mean the world to them. It will go directly towards helping with their immediate needs, including living expenses, potential medical/therapeutic expenses not covered by OHIP and the other unforeseen costs that come with such a prolonged recovery.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While Angela greatly appreciates any donations, she would like them to be kept anonymous at this time, as she navigates the many emotions that come with such an overwhelming period.
Christina and I will be providing updates on Dan’s progress, and we’ll continue to keep you informed as we work together to support them during this journey.
On behalf of Angela and Dan, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Jenn and Christina
