Elena doesn’t ask for help.
She’s the kind of person who keeps going even when life keeps taking. And lately, life has taken a lot.
Angel is her one-year-old lab/Doberman rescue — a sweet, gentle soul they brought home as a tiny puppy after losing their two senior labs, siblings they had to say goodbye to far too close together. Those dogs were family. Losing them was devastating. And that loss came on the heels of something even harder: Elena losing her mom, followed by watching her dad’s health decline. It’s been grief stacked on top of grief, with barely any time to breathe in between.
Angel was supposed to be joy again. Healing. Light.
Now Angel needs knee surgery for a luxating patella — a painful condition that won’t improve on its own and will only get worse if left untreated. He’s just a baby, and he deserves the chance to run, play, and grow without pain. The surgery he needs is estimated at $5,000, and it’s come at a time when Elena and her fiancé Felipe are already carrying more than their fair share.
This isn’t about extravagance or extras.
It’s about giving a good dog the chance to live a full, pain-free life — and giving a genuinely good human a moment where the world gives something back instead of taking again.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it will make a real difference.
If you can’t, sharing this means just as much.
Sometimes people don’t need advice or strength — they just need to feel supported.
This is one of those moments.
Thank you for helping surround Elena, Felipe, and Angel with the love they deserve.
