Help Angel Cover Top Surgery

Hello there,

My name is Angel, and I use they/them pronouns. I am 23 years old and have been living openly as nonbinary since the Summer of 2020.

Through much introspection, I have realized that I want and need top surgery. For years I have settled to tolerate the body I was born in. I rely on wearing layers, baggy clothes, and/or a binder in public settings. I now finally understand that I deserve to be comfortable in my own body, as everyone does.

Unfortunately, my insurance will not cover the procedure from any surgeons that I trust. Rather than have the surgery be done by someone I do not feel safe with or wait till I can switch to another insurance that I would have to pay an excessive amount of money for, I decided to attempt to pay for the procedure out of pocket.

I created this gofundme to assist me with that goal. I love my job working at a dog rescue; however, the wage isn’t livable, and I will be unable to work while I recover. I will save as much as I can between now and when I eventually get the surgery, though any little bit that someone is willing to give to help me I will be eternally grateful for.

If I can raise enough to cover the cost of the procedure by some miraculous chance, I will be donating any excess to The Trevor Project. Regardless, I will be donating to that organization once I have recovered as a form of celebration and paying the kindness forward.
