My dear friend Dakota Peissig's mother is just beginning the cancer journey. Angel Michelle, has recently received a diagnosis of stage 3B cervical cancer. Following an extensive series of medical consultations, we have established her treatment plan. Unfortunately, the cancer's spread to the pelvic wall renders surgical intervention impossible. She will undergo an intensive 5 1/2-week course of radiation therapy, five days a week, in Wausau. Concurrently, she will receive chemotherapy and immunotherapy on a weekly basis. Upon completing radiation therapy, she will undergo internal radiation therapy twice a week in Madison for a period of two weeks.

Dakota will work for as long as she can while her mom undergoes treatment and can manage to take care of herself, but that likely won't be for long. Any funds raised will be used to assist with out of pocket costs associated with gas, meals, car upkeep, and associated costs.
