Hello everyone! I am making this gofundme as a last effort to give me a much needed push to achieve my graduate school dreams.
After recieving my B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University, and maintaining a 3.6 GPA. I didn't get accepted to SF State's graduate program. Time is of the essence for this 31 year old single father. Although this denial was disheartening, I shall continue to fight the good fight for a bigger and brighter future.
I have decided to attend Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont California on January 2022. Taking a semester off of school to gain experience working in a Psychiatric housing unit. Any and all funds raised will be used to pay my costly tuition and lessen the crippling blow of the student loan I would need to take out to achieve this educational feat.
I went back to community college at the age of 25 when my son was 2 years old. He was the driving force and inspiration behind my educational and professional journey. Watching your child walk, talk and develop their first few years, has shown me that life is a constant learning process. I am a prime example of determination and grit.
Life has dealt me many trials and tribulations. Yet, I've never deferred from my path.Like a Phoenix, I rise.
