Help Angel Get Certified! A Tuition Fundraiser

Hey y'all! For many years I have been working in my various communities (both as a labor of love and as paid labor) as a facilitator, mediator, workshop leader, speaker and teacher. Last year I took a course to see if the next step on that journey was coaching in a formal sense. I fell in love with the framework and work at the Academy for Coaching Excellence, and I am fundraising tuition costs, past what I can personally pay. As a person who both supports and is supported within community, it feels important to say publicly and accountably from the outset that I will make at least 30% of my work available to low income folks and folks at intersectional margins. I also commit to using these skills to strengthen the community and volunteer work that I do, making it more impactful.
The same reasons that I need community support to get this formalized education are things that will make me a great support to others. I am queer, non-binary, disabled, Indigenous, grew up in poverty and live in the hustle. So often folks who have financial access to programs like this aren’t those who share the axis of oppression with those who really need the kind of support that coaching can offer. I want to decolonize this practice - the way I try and decolonize myself - to honor my ancestors and give toward the future.
Part of what doing this certification process will mean to me is more financial stability, making my life more sustainable overall and shifting things so that I’m able to stay in the Bay Area where I feel most at home. Being able to stay rooted means being able to show up more and more fully for the many people and communities I love.
I plan to approach my coaching practice from an integrative perspective. I’m envisioning harnessing the wisdom of the intersections of oppressive structures and nurturing the power of post traumatic growth. I want to help people grow toward the harmony of their values and their actions lining up by supporting them through the quest for alignment. I can only help people like this with the help of my community. Please give if you can! Please share widely! Thank you!

A $40 donation gets you a single coaching session, which can be used to work out a specific challenge.
A $75 donation gets you two coaching sessions, which can also be applied to a larger package.
A $150 donation gets you a logo or business card design, usual price $200 minimum.
A $300 donation gets you a package of 10 coaching sessions, for a savings of $200!
