Help Angel Fight Life-Threatening Blood Clots

Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my friend Angel.

I’ve known Angel for over 13 years—we met in beauty school and I’ve always admired her strength and resilience. She’s a hard-working, dedicated single mom raising two children, including a very young son, completely on her own. She has no family support, but she’s always found a way to push through and care for her kids.

Recently, Angel was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with extremely large blood clots. The condition is life-threatening and requires immediate and ongoing treatment. The medication she needs is critical—not optional. But heartbreakingly, she was denied state assistance because she “makes too much,” even though she’s barely making ends meet working at Cheba Hut.

It’s a devastating example of how the American healthcare system is failing people. Angel is scared she’s going to die—and she shouldn’t have to fight for her life while also fighting through red tape and systemic barriers.
