Hi! My name is Gwen and I’m the oldest daughter of Ange Dall. I have four younger siblings who live at home and an awesome stepdad, Aaron. After Covid-19 being passed around the house the whole month of December my mom and Aaron were heading to a friends house (first time leaving) on Sunday, 12/26 (the day after Christmas) when my mom had a seizure. We all thought this was just a result of her enormous load of stress… After being taken via ambulance to a nearby emergency room and having an EKG, chest x-ray and CT scan ran they found it was a bit more than stress.

After further testing and an MRI on her brain they found 3 lesions, or mass’ to say the least. The neurologist updated and discussed that these lesions were one of two things— Parasites in her brain or cancer. She’s been operated on twice now since last Wednesday 12/29 and has been in the ICU since. The original surgery was to take a sliver of the largest (outermost) mass to take for a biopsy. They ended up removing what they thought to be the whole thing. However, the MRI they took after this surgery showed there was still some tissue left so they had to open her back up, again. The second surgery was supposed to be a smaller surgery but ended up being even more invasive and they took more tissue than originally planned.

She will be shaving her head entirely when they let her come home to prepare for what the future may bring.

Biopsy results should be back by Friday, 1/7 and I will keep everyone posted.

There are 4 kiddos at home, my mom is unable to work or drive for a minimum of 6 months and Aaron is doing the absolute best he can to make sure things are going good. After a week+ long hospital stay with more in the future, an ambulance ride and now being unable to work after being off for the month of December for Covid being passed around the home they are going to be facing quite a few financial challenges.
