Help with vet bills for Oliver
Donation protected
My name is Amy Griffin, and I'm fundraising for my forever friend Anette Sanders. On the night of 2/24/22, her beloved small dog Oliver was walking on a leash right outside his home when he was brutally attacked by a large dog (who was running loose, with no leash, and no owner in sight). Oliver was rushed to the emergency vet and was in the ICU for several days, but they were unable to save him, and he died of his injuries.
Anette is, of course, totally heartbroken and devastated. To make matters worse, the vet bills are astronomical-- somewhere in the neighborhood of $14,000. Anette had pet health insurance for Oliver, but even after that portion of the bill is paid, it will be a massive amount. Anette is an arts professional in NYC and (like most of us in the arts) makes a modest living. This bill would take years to pay off. I am fundraising to help defray some of the cost so that my friend doesn't have a crushing amount of debt to contend with on top of the heartbreaking loss of her pet.
Anette ADORED Oliver. He was an adorable, friendly young dog who loved everyone--a neighbor used to affectionately refer to him as "The Mayor" because everyone in the neighborhood knew and loved him. Anette is a wonderful, generous person, and has helped so many people over the years in a million ways. If you can make a donation of any size, I would be so grateful. Every little bit helps! Thank you so much.
