Help Andy’s Fight Against Two Cancers
Meet my cousin Andy Fish, father of three sons, husband, artist, teacher, volunteer.
Andy is a self-employed professional artist/writer and has contributed to a variety of companies including Marvel, Archie Comics, Warner Bros. Animation, Dark Horse Comics and many more - often working with his wife, artist Veronica Fish on titles like "Blackwood" and "Sabrina the Teenage Witch".
A lifelong passion for comic books, art and history lead to a career teaching sequential art to thousands of students from across Massachusetts, including libraries, the Peabody Essex Museum, Worcester Art Museum, Mass. College of Art and Emerson College in Boston. He's authored several "How-To" for publishers which remain in print.
Andy is active in volunteering for his neighbors and community and for many years as a mentor and boxing coach at the Boys and Girls Club of America.
On June 22, 2026 the Fish family learned that Andy is dealing with two forms of cancer, ALCL, Anaplastic Large-Cell Lymphoma, and Myelo Fibrosis, rare, chronic blood cancers. After struggling for two hard years, they now enter the ultimate battle and need financial help. The fabulous doctors at U-Mass are planning for an allogenic stem-cell transplant to beat both cancers.
Andy is currently undergoing outpatient chemo treatments for four months. This winter, he will enter the hospital for about two months for this procedure, then receive multiple strong chemo cycles before and after treatment.
Funds raised here will support my cousins Andy and Veronica, managed by myself, Gina Gabianelli, on their behalf, while he is unable to work during this most challenging time. These funds will be allocated toward primary living expenses, including but not limited to monthly mortgage and car payments.
Words cannot express how appreciative we are of your love and generosity, every gift and share means the world to Andy and his family!
Thank you so much for your support.
