Help Andy Through His Fight Against Colon Cancer

Andy Witherspoon, my big brother, was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in April 2022. When the news came that day, it felt like the world stopped, but as we all know, it has to keep spinning. Since then, Andy and Sara have balanced doctor appointments, hospital stays, surgeries, chemotherapy, and bi-weekly visits to Mcleod and Duke University Hospital in North Carolina. They have juggled all this while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for their precious family, specifically my three-year-old niece, Elliott.

Many have asked me how to help. Due to dietary restrictions or logistics, there never seems to be a clear-cut way to show support and love to their family. But I would like to change that by allowing all those who love them to use this platform to give if they feel led.

Because of the timing of his diagnosis, treatments have spread over almost two years (soon to be the third year)--which, even with insurance, leaves a lot of monetary obligations.

I have started this fundraiser at $15,000 in hopes that we will far surpass this goal to not only accommodate their current needs but give them security as their fight continues. Thank you for being so supportive, whether it be monetary, an act of kindness, or prayers. Our family is truly blessed to be surrounded by so much love and compassion!

When faced with a task that the nurses doubted Andy with just last week, he looked at them and said, "You're about to see something you've never seen before!" If you know Andy and Sara, you know they are incredibly tenacious and are attacking this head-on and don't plan to stop!
