Andy and his loyal hound Rocky experienced a terrifying ordeal last night when a loose husky entered their yard and attacked them. In a desperate effort to save Rocky, Andy bravely used his own hands to stop the bleeding from Rocky’s carotid artery while rushing him to the emergency vet hospital. Thanks to Andy’s quick thinking and the care of the veterinary team, Rocky survived emergency surgery—a true miracle given the severity of his injuries.

Unfortunately, Andy was also hurt during the attack and had to seek emergency medical care for his own wounds. Both are now on the long road to recovery. Rocky is alive and healing, but he will need continued veterinary support, and Andy is exhausted and in pain, but determined to get better. The emotional and financial toll of this event has been overwhelming for them both.
