Hi everyone! My name is Kaitlin Dault and I’m starting this fundraiser for my brother, Andy.

On Saturday, August 9th, Andy had a seizure at work. This is his first seizure he’s had (that we know of). His manager at work gave me a call. After Andy got an ambulance ride into Anchorage, he spent 5 hours in the ER getting some tests done. He got a CT scan for his brain and an X-ray for his shoulder (that he fell on while seizing).

The doctor wants him to get an EEG and an MRI, as well as another calcium panel, as his calcium levels were low in the ER.

Andy does not have health insurance at this time. We are working on Medicaid or utilizing Fred Meyers benefits (after open enrollment), but we know the bills will start coming in.

We know that he needs to get an EEG and MRI soon, to determine if he has epilepsy and what our next steps will be. He is also unable to work until his shoulder is healed, meaning he might not get a paycheck for a while.

I know times are tough for everyone, but we are hoping that, with the community’s help, we can fund a little to help pay for some of these bills—especially the ambulance ride and the ER visit. Any amount helps!
